Restart & Thrive: Confident career comeback
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” Anonymous
Restarting a career can be tough, particularly following redundancy, long term sickness or a career break. We may be worried about money, wondering if our skills are still needed by organisations, thinking it’s been a while since the last time we were interviewees. Friends and family are great support and yet we can still feel a bit lost and lonely. Or simply miss the company of other managers.

The Restart and Thrive programme assists managers through this difficult time:
- Feel supported by a coach who’s been there, found a job they loved and was able to enjoy time off in between roles
- Learn from and feel supported by others going through a similar experience
- Gain clarity by reviewing your career values, strengths and potential skills gaps
- Get help as you deal with thoughts and feelings which are holding you back
- Feel accountable through regular meetings
- Feel connected with other people going through a similar experience
The Restart and Thrive programme involves:
- Six 2 hour online sessions over 3 months. These sessions include
- 30 min bit size teachings on topics such as resilience, change, creating a personal narrative, LinkedIn job searching
- 90 mins group coaching support (a small group coaching each other with an experienced coach guiding them)
- Career workbook for individual reflection. This is an opportunity to review your career to date, identify strengths and any skills gaps for development.
- One 1:1 individual coaching session
“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.” Gail Sheehy
For those who are successful in achieving that next role before the end of the programme…. Congratulations! Outstanding sessions are converted into 1:1 coaching sessions to support you in preparing for the role and hitting the ground running. Or receive a partial refund. Your choice.

What clients say
“I have found the sessions very helpful and Karen very empathetic, she was able to create a safe space for topics to be brought up and have important conversations” Manager
“Karen has facilitated me to be reflexive about what motivates me, what my strengths are and made suggestions to ‘stretch’ the learning opportunities available to me. This has enabled me to be ‘content’ with my current role and appreciate my leadership skills and how they can be utilised now and in the future. It has ultimately made me more confident in myself and what is ‘right’ for me.” Senior leader, NHS
